The pour-over demo at the county fair threw my whole routine off

Last Saturday I stopped by a little coffee booth at the county fair in Lancaster. The lady running it was doing pour-overs with a cloth filter, not paper, and she let me taste the same beans brewed both ways. The cloth one had this silky body and way less bitterness, even though it took an extra 90 seconds to drain. I went home and dug out an old Chemex filter I never used, but honestly the cloth method changed my morning setup for the last 3 days. Now I'm wondering if anyone else has tried those reusable cotton filters, or if they're just a gimmick that gets moldy fast. What's your take on cloth vs paper for daily brewing?

Tried the cloth filters three years ago and never switched back, just rinse them good every week.
