Hand grinding coffee won me over.

Called it a hassle for years. A blackout made me try. The taste is better now. Good starter grinders?

Totally get that, it's wild how much difference a good grind makes. What were you using before the blackout forced a change, like a cheap blade grinder or pre-ground stuff?

Switched from pre-ground bags to a cheap grinder and it was a game changer. The consistency was still all over the place but way better than stale dust. Finally getting a burr grinder made me realize I was only halfway there before.

Used a blade grinder that was basically a noisy paperweight. @barbarapalmer, the blackout did me a favor by killing it for good.
