My first Python script crashed on line 4 and I sat there for 20 minutes thinking I broke my laptop
Started learning Python about 6 months ago through one of those free sites, and things were going fine until I tried to write a little script that asks for your name and age. Ran it, hit enter, and got a red wall of text about a ValueError that meant nothing to me. I typed 25 instead of twenty-five and the whole thing just quit. Sat at my kitchen table in Akron staring at the screen like I'd set off an alarm. Turns out it's just that input() gives you text, not a number, and you have to wrap it in int(). Took me 3 days and one Reddit thread to figure that out. Now I want to know, what was the first error message that made you think your computer was mad at you?
