Thought the rain barrel by my shed in Bellingham was a waste of 60 bucks, now I'm a believer
I set up a 55 gallon rain barrel back in April mostly as a joke because my neighbor kept going on about them. It's been 4 months and it's filled up 6 times already, which meant I didn't touch the hose once for my tomato beds during that dry stretch in July. I finally measured it last week and figured out I saved around 900 gallons, which sounds small until you see the water bill. Anyone else running one of these and did you notice a real gap in your bill or is it more of a feels good thing?
