The electric scrubber vs my old chainmail, grandma would laugh at me

Picked up a $45 electric scrubber for my 12-inch skillet last month after my wrist started complaining during camping season prep. It worked great on the stuck-on cornbread bits, but now I'm back to the chainmail because the scrubber just doesn't get the seasoning edges like my hands do. Anyone else bounce between tools and feel guilty about it?

Forty five bucks and you're feeling guilty about a scrubber? Man, that's a high price for guilt. I've got a $12 plastic scraper that does half of what my chainmail does and I don't lose sleep over it. If your wrist hurts, use the electric one on the flat spots and save the chainmail for the edges. That's not cheating, that's just figuring out which tool fits the job. Grandma would probably just tell you to stop being dramatic and put more elbow grease into it, but she also used lye soap so her opinion might be outdated.
