My cast iron stays seasoned better since I started cleaning it warm

I mean, I used to let it cool completely, but then scrubbing was a chore. Now I rinse it with hot water right after cooking and dry it on the stove. No more rust or lost seasoning. What do you think about adding a bit of oil after drying?

Just make sure you wipe all the oil off after.

Actually, skipping the oil sometimes keeps it from getting gummy.

Thin oil coat after drying works great for me too.
