Just realized I've cooked over 500 meals in my main skillet

I keep a simple log on my fridge and I hit 500 entries this morning. I got this pan as a gift about three years ago and it's been my daily driver for everything from eggs to steaks. The seasoning is now this deep, almost black glassy finish that nothing sticks to. It feels like the pan and I have finally become a real team. Has anyone else tracked their use and been surprised by the number?

Honestly, logging it sounds like a nice little ritual. I get what @park.nathan means about it feeling like work, but for me it's just a quick tally mark on a notepad. It's less about the details and more about seeing that number climb, knowing I'm getting my money's worth from the pan. That glassy finish you described is the real goal.

Wait, you log every single meal?

Seriously, 500 meals logged? I'm with @taylor.mary on this, that's some next level dedication. I can't even remember to write a shopping list. My skillet is lucky if it gets a rinse between cooking bacon and then eggs. The idea of tracking every single use, like "meal 237, slightly burned grilled cheese," feels like a part time job.
