Warning: I spent $400 on a resume review service and the free college career center did a better job
I paid a service $400 back in March because I was getting zero calls for project coordinator roles. They sent back a doc full of fancy words and a font I couldn't even open right. Two weeks later I walked into the community college near me, and a lady named Deb sat with me for 40 minutes and cut my bullet points in half. She kept saying 'just say what you did and the number.' I got two interviews in a month. I still feel dumb about the $400. Has anyone actually had a paid service beat a free one, or is it all just word salad?
