My $80 sleeping pad failed on night 2 of a 5 day trip

Bought a bargain inflatable pad online, seemed fine in the living room test. First night was okay, second night I woke up at 3am flat on the cold ground. The seam split right near the valve, no patch kit in the box. Ended up using my camp chair cushion for the rest of the trip, which wrecked my back. Anyone else trust cheap pads and regret it, or have a budget brand that actually holds air?

...and honestly that's how it goes with so much stuff these days, not just sleeping pads. You buy the cheap version of something to save a few bucks, and it works fine for a little while, just long enough to make you think you got away with it. Then it picks the worst possible moment to fall apart, like when you're miles from anywhere. It's the same with cheap phone chargers that die in a month or those budget backpacks that rip a strap on day three. Sometimes the cheap thing is genuinely fine, but it's like a gamble every single time and the house always wins eventually.
