That sticky shutter button on my beat-up F3 taught me something after 12 years

I kept blaming the camera for misfires and bought a new release button assembly from a shop in Osaka, but it turned out my thumb was sitting on the shutter dial the whole time, has anyone else fought a simple handling habit like that?
