My brother zip tied his whole desk setup in 2019, and now he can't swap a monitor without cutting everything
Do you run cables loose for easy changes or lock them down for that clean look, because we argued about this for an hour at his place in Dayton last weekend and I still can't decide who's right?
Man, I used to be all about the zip ties and velcro wraps, everything tucked and hidden because I loved that clean look. Then I had to swap out a dead router and spent 20 minutes on my knees with scissors trying not to cut the wrong tie. That day changed my whole view on it, honestly. Now I run the main cables with a little slack and just use those little adhesive clips so stuff stays tidy but I can pop a cable out when I need to. Your brother is gonna hate it the next time he upgrades anything, that part is for sure. So yeah, you win this one, but I get why he did it back then.
