Appreciation post: a guy at Micro Center in Dallas said one zip tie per cable loop, and now my drawer actually closes
Was in Micro Center in Dallas about 3 weeks ago grabbing a pack of velcro straps and overheard a guy helping someone at the returns desk. He kept it simple. One loop per cable, snug but not choking, and point the tail same way every loop. I had been doubling up ties on everything and stuffing them into a plastic bin under the desk for 6 months. Tried his way on the rats nest behind my tower. About 14 cables got done in maybe 25 minutes. Cleaner loops and the bin lid shuts now. Small win but it feels good every time I slide that drawer closed. Curious what other tiny rules you picked up from someone in a store aisle.
