Remember when we all used to hand-cut dovetails for every drawer?
I was cleaning out the shop and found a drawer I made back in 2008, and the joints are so tight you can't see a gap. Now, with the CNC, everything is perfect and fast, but it feels a bit... samey. Anyone else miss the little imperfections that showed it was made by a person?

Ever try mixing in one hand-cut piece with your CNC work?

My buddy did that once and the slight wobble drove him nuts.

Huh, I actually love that little bit of wobble. It gives the piece some life, makes it feel less like a perfect machine made it. My last project had a hand cut joint that was just a hair off, and it ended up being my favorite part.
