Found out last Tuesday my grocery budget was never the problem, my route was
So I do the shopping for our house and I always hit the same two stores on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie out of pure habit, never thinking about it. Last Tuesday I mapped out the actual driving and realized I was burning about $9 in gas a trip zigzagging across town for stuff that's all within a mile of each other. Now I go to the Stop and Shop on Main, hit the produce place next door, and I'm done in one loop. Has anyone else ever cut their budget just by changing where they shop instead of what they buy?
