PSA: Trading cuttings in person vs online groups now
I remember meeting up at the park every spring to swap plant cuttings with local growers. We would chat for hours about soil mixes and light needs. It felt like a real community event where you learned by doing. These days, I mostly use plant trade apps and Facebook pages to get new varieties. Sure, it's convenient to browse offers from my couch, but the advice isn't the same. Last month, I mailed a spider plant to someone and never even heard their growing tips. Part of me misses seeing the plants up close before you take them home.

Totally feel this. And @amy692 is spot on with the tracking number comment. That's not how you build a community. Used to learn so much just chatting at the park. Now you get a plant and a receipt. Something real is lost in the mail.
