Had my doubts about grow lights, now I own four of them
Back in January I bought a cheap 20 watt LED panel off Amazon mostly as a joke for my sad basil plant. Three months later that basil is two feet tall and I've got peppers and lettuce going in a spare closet. I always figured grow lights were for people with too much money or not enough windows, but my apartment faces north and gets maybe an hour of weak sun a day. The utility bill went up about 4 dollars a month, which is less than I spend on a single sad supermarket herb bunch. Now I'm wondering if I should grab a bigger setup for tomatoes next winter, or if that's where the hobby crosses into hoarding. Anyone else start with one light and end up with a whole shelf situation?
