Grew the same pothos in tap water vs rain water for 4 months, and one was a total bust
The rain water one threw out 6 new leaves and roots like crazy, while the tap water cutting sat there looking sad. Am I the only one who thinks the chlorine thing is real and not just internet talk?
Tap water has chlorine but it also has fluoride and other stuff that plants don't love. That said, a lot of people grow pothos in tap water just fine, so it might depend on how heavy your local water is treated. Four months is a long time though, so maybe it added up.
