Felt linings used to be my enemy, then I tried tacky spray

For about 2 years I fought with glue brush strokes showing through my felt hinge linings and it drove me crazy with every single project. Last month I switched to a light coat of repositionable tacky spray on the board before laying the felt, letting it sit 60 seconds first. Has anyone else moved away from wet glue for textile linings, or do you still prefer the traditional paste method for something like a clamshell box?
