Shoutout to the guy at the Long Beach flea market who sold me 4 milk crates for $5
I always thought wall art had to be actual art, then this vendor stacked his crates on their sides and zip tied them into a honeycomb shelf for his prints. I tried it in my hallway with some old band posters I got for free and it covers a 3 foot gap way better than the $40 frame I almost bought. Anyone else stack crates instead of hanging stuff straight on the drywall?
Skip the frame every time. Crates on their sides give you depth so the posters sit back a bit instead of flat on the wall. Zip ties are smart too since you can cut them and rearrange without patching holes. I did the same thing in my garage with old show flyers and it held up fine for years.
