Vent: a customer told me my wheel builds felt 'dead' and I had to sit with that
Had a guy pick up his rear wheel at the co-op in Ann Arbor back in April and he squeezed the spokes and said it felt dead compared to his old one. I was ticked off at first because I had it at even tension on the Park tool and it was true to within a hair. But he was right, I had been cranking everything up to the max on the tensiometer and killing all the give in the wheel. Now I build to the low end of the range and stress relieve twice, and the same guy came back 6 months later saying it rides like a different wheel. Any of you run into this with your own builds?
