Baking in a foreign kitchen taught me a tough lesson
I tried making cookies while staying at a friend's beach house last month. Their oven ran way hotter than mine back home. The first batch came out completely black and smoky. It hit me that baking fails often happen when you're not used to the equipment. Now I test with a small batch before going all in.

Ever think about how microwaves are just as bad? They all have those weird hot spots. Kinda makes you wonder what else in their kitchen would surprise you

Read this weird article about how microwaves basically vibrate water molecules to heat food. That's why soup gets nuclear hot while the plate stays cool. Once had a frozen dinner where the sauce was boiling but the middle was still ice. Makes you trust them a lot less, you know? What's the most messed up thing your microwave has ever done?

Actually microwaves get a bad rap for no good reason. Those hot spots just mean you gotta stir your food halfway through, like with that pasta sauce last week. Once you learn how yours works, it's pretty reliable for reheating stuff.
