My hen laid an egg in my gardening boot this morning

It was the perfect size and saved me from stepping into a spider that had taken up residence.

Saving you from the spider is a solid bonus. I always give my boots a quick shake before putting them on now.

Ever think about just wearing different shoes? I check my sneakers too though. Solid move but maybe you're overdoing it.

Back home, we always checked for more than spiders. An egg in the boot is nature's way of saying watch your step.
