Locking up the flock at sunset never used to be a thing for me.

I used to let my chickens wander all over the yard without a care. These days, with so many predators around, I have to lock them up tight by dusk. It just isn't the same.

All these predators around now, I had a raccoon just staring at the coop last week. Never used to see them so bold.

Seriously... I've seen the same thing with coyotes near rest stops. They just don't scare off like they used to.

What, are the predators paying rent now? They just hang out in the open like they own the place. Next they will be asking for a key.
