The day a Cooper's hawk turned my bird bath into a fast food drive-thru

Last Tuesday in my Charlotte backyard, a juvenile Cooper's hawk decided my bird bath was the perfect spot to pluck and eat a mourning dove. It was a messy scene for about an hour, and all the regular songbirds vanished. Has anyone else had a predator turn their peaceful setup into a nature documentary moment?
