My suet feeder sat empty for 3 months and then a woodpecker showed up out of nowhere
Three years ago I hung a cheap suet cage on the maple in my Columbus yard, got zero visitors all winter, and basically forgot about it. Last month a downy finally found it and now he's back most mornings, so I'm wondering if suet just needs a long time to get discovered or if I got lucky. Has anyone else had a feeder go dead for a whole season before birds caught on?
