Finally figured out why my LinkedIn outreach was flopping after 200 DMs
Switched from sending generic 'love your content' messages to mentioning a specific thing from their last post and my reply rate went from 2% to 18% in about 3 weeks - anyone else had a similar jump from just changing one small thing?

Opened up my own DMs and realized I was doing the exact same thing... sending "great post!" to everyone like a broken robot. Started calling out one weird specific thing I noticed in their profile pic or bio and suddenly people actually wanted to chat. Must've looked like a total dweeb when I told a guy I liked his cat sweater but it worked somehow.

You know, I don't think calling out a cat sweater is being a dweeb. That's actually being more honest than some generic compliment. People can tell when you actually looked at them versus just firing off a message because you want something.
