Old wiring diagrams vs. the tablet changeover in our shop
Back in 2019 we still used those big paper binders for every wire run check. I'd flip through 40 pages just to trace a harness from the aft bay to the cockpit. Now everything is on a tablet with searchable PDFs, so I tap in the part number and get the diagram in seconds. The switch happened when our lead bought a ruggedized tablet after two binders got soaked in hydraulic fluid. Has anyone else found that the zoom feature on the tablet beats a magnifying glass for the tiny gauge numbers?
