One customer's offhand remark made me stop using impact guns on lug nuts
Guy in a Ford F-150 watched me zip his wheels on and said 'you know that's how rotors get warped,' so I switched to a torque wrench for everything and I've had zero comebacks in 6 months, anyone else ditched the impact for good?

Three years into running my own shop and I had the same wake up call when a customer showed me the heat spots on his rotors after I'd been zipping them down with my IR gun. I switched to a Snap-on torque wrench for all wheel installs, and I check them with a click type every time now, not a beam style. Since then I've done over 400 tire rotations and wheel off jobs and not one single customer has come back with a wobble or a warped rotor complaint, so the extra minute per wheel is worth it to me.
