Update: the guy at the hardware store in Tulsa told me to ask the mail carrier, and it worked

I kept getting junk mail for the guy who lived here 6 years ago and the post office told me to just deal with it. An older worker at the Ace on 15th said to write "not at this address" and hand it back to the carrier in person once, and I haven't gotten a single piece for him in 3 weeks. Anyone else tried this or is it just luck?
