That 'missing' Roman road in the Netherlands was never missing, map just lied

I was reading a 2023 report from Leiden University about the limes road north of the Rhine, and they found that a 19th century map by a guy named J.H. Holwerda had mislabeled a stretch near Utrecht as simply a farmer's track. Turns out the gravel base under a field in De Meern is 4 meters wide and matches Roman military construction exactly. They did ground-penetrating radar there in 2021 but the results got buried in a footnotes section. Has anyone else run into old maps that just straight up hide a site like this?
