Started with a $5 bucket and now I'm actually composting in a studio

Tbh I was sure any indoor composting would stink up my tiny apartment in Austin and attract fruit flies everywhere. Bought a cheap plastic bucket with a lid from the dollar store and froze scraps in a bag before adding them, total game changer. The freezing kills the smell and makes breakdown way faster, and I toss in shredded junk mail to keep it balanced. Honestly the only struggle is remembering to empty the bucket every 4 days before it gets full. Has anyone else found a weird trick that made apartment composting finally click for them?
