My worm bin hit 90 degrees and I panicked... turns out that's normal?
I was freaking out checking temps every morning for a week straight after my red wigglers in a 5 gallon bucket under the sink started cooking. Found a fact sheet from the local extension office in Portland saying thermophilic bacteria can spike even small bins up to 100F for a few days. Has anyone else seen their bin heat up like that without adding hot greens on purpose?
