Went to a tiny anime meetup in a Cleveland library and counted 3 Akatsuki cloaks in a row of 20 chairs
So I rolled up to this free anime club thing at the Lakewood library branch on Saturday, mostly for the cheap air conditioning and a reason to leave my apartment. I walk in and there's like 20 folding chairs set up, and I kid you not, three dudes in full Akatsuki cloaks are just sitting in a row like it's a dress code. One of them had the red cloud pattern hand painted and kept flipping his collar every time someone walked past. Then this girl stands up to present her top 5 openings and spends 12 minutes defending why she put a Naruto OP at number 4 instead of 3. The room got weirdly tense over it, like people were actually mad about the ranking. Is this normal for local anime meetups or did I just walk into the most serious fan club in Ohio?
