Just hit 500 episodes of One Piece and my watch party fell apart

I crossed episode 500 last week after starting in January, and I thought it would feel like a milestone. Instead my group chat went quiet when I brought it up, nobody cared about the exact number. Two of my friends dropped the show around episode 300, one said the pacing killed it for them. But the other side is that I've met people who treat episode 200 as the real hook and laugh at 500 as nothing. So is the number that matters more about consistency or the stretch of story you stuck through? Has anyone else hit a weird watch count and felt let down by the community reaction, or am I just chasing the wrong bragging rights?

Honestly, that group chat going quiet hits different. Tbh, I once had a whole marathon crew for a different show and we all bailed at season two, except this one guy who kept going solo. He came back months later all hyped about some deep cut lore and none of us had a clue what he was on about, so he just sat there explaining it to a wall. Sometimes the milestone is just for you, not the crowd, and that's okay.
