TIL my local lab in Bakersfield charges $19 a roll for dev plus scans and I've been paying $31 at the spot near my apartment
Found this out last Tuesday when I dropped off 4 rolls of Portra 400 before a trip to the coast. The guy behind the counter at the cheaper place pulled out a little price sheet and I just stood there staring at it. $19 for dev and scan. Same turnaround, 3 days. I'd been going to the other shop for almost 2 years because it's a 5 minute walk from my place and I never bothered to call around. That's $12 a roll, which adds up fast when I'm shooting 4 or 5 rolls a month. I did the math in my head on the drive home and wanted to kick myself. So now I'm curious, is $19 actually normal where you all live or is that a steal? I'm in the Central Valley if that helps.
