Spent 3 hours troubleshooting a light leak that was just my own thumb

Got a roll back from the lab and every single frame had this weird orange streak on the left side. I was convinced it was a shutter issue or maybe a bad seal on my old Canon AE-1. Replaced the light seals, checked the curtain speed, even cleaned the mirror box twice. Took me a solid 3 hours across two nights before I noticed my left thumb was covering the film window on the back every time I shot. Felt like a total goof, especially since I've been shooting film for like 8 years now. Anyone else ever chase a ghost problem that was just their own hand or a wardrobe thing getting in the way?

Wait till you figure out how long I shot with my strap dangling over the lens. Thought my 50mm was soft for a month. Nope, just a nylon blur in the corner of every shot.
