I finally stopped copying and pasting code into ChatGPT and set up a local model, not sure it was worth it

Six months ago I was pasting chunks of my Python script into ChatGPT every 20 minutes, and last month I got tired of worrying about what I was uploading so I set up a 7B model on my old gaming PC. Now it's slower and dumber on the hard bugs but I own the whole thing and nothing leaves my house. Anyone else go local and regret it, or did you find a setup that actually keeps up?
