Can we talk about the AI sorting system I saw at the Tokyo recycling plant last month?

I was on a tour of this facility in Shinagawa and they had this AI camera setup that could separate 12 different types of plastic in under a second based on texture and color. The guide said it cut their sorting errors by 40% compared to the old manual line. Has anyone else seen these vision systems used for waste management?

That 40% number probably ignores the massive e-waste problem when those AI cameras break down.
